JAT Energy is a regional fuel distributor and brand retailer with hub operations in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. Our combined business includes Unbranded and Branded fuels, DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid), Natural Gas and Liquid Asphalt. With an extensive portfolio of brands and long-term relationships with Major Oil & Energy companies we service customers ranging from small family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies throughout the region with quality products each and every day.

Founded in 1976 with a single truck & headquartered in Chattanooga Tennessee, the company has diversified and expanded across 8 states and is now recognized as one of the largest and most reliable fuel and energy distributors in the Southeastern United States.

Our Team

Founded by John A. Thompson and later acquired by Pat Conroy in 1986, JAT Energy has continued to excel as an organization for over 48yrs.

Much of our success is based on the foundation built by the next generation & the current leadership of Will Conroy and Jay Moore. Today, a strong leadership team with inexorable commitment to forward progress, efficiency improvement and advanced technological innovation allows JAT to stand apart as an organization.

1976 JAT Oil Inc. The Beginning

Founded by John A. Thompson, a retired Chevron Oil executive, JAT Oil Inc. marks its entry into the energy sector. With a focus on innovation and excellence, the company sets out to make its mark in the industry.

1986 Change in Leadership

After a decade of growth and establishment under John A. Thompson, JAT Oil Inc. undergoes a significant transition. The company welcomes a new phase of management and direction with the arrival of new owner Pat Conroy, promising fresh perspectives and strategies.

1997 Purchase of Cleveland Oil & and the addition of the Branded Exxon Trademark

2000 Sold Lubricate division to Parman to focus on core competencies.

2011 Became a Pacific Pride Franchisee immediately opening 4 locations to expand and grow Commercial fleet card business.

2014 Next Generation

Will Conroy & Jay Moore purchases the majority of JAT Energy from current Ownership.

2017 Purchase of Ownbey Oil to expand Georgia Footprint

2018 Purchase of Hager Oil and the addition of the Branded Chevron Trademark to Expand Alabama Footprint

2019 Purchase of Enterprise Oil to Expand in Georgia and the Atlanta Market

2023 Celebrated as Midsize Enterprise and the addition of Branded BP Trademark.
